In 2019 Great Yarmouth Preservation Trust secured ownership of Hemsby Barn, a Grade I listed manorial barn. The thatched and timber-framed barn is a remarkable medieval survival, dating from c.1270. 

We are exploring a number of potential future uses for the barn, including a centre for traditional skills training and storage. Emergency thatching repairs were undertaken in August 2020 and funding is currently being sought to develop a full programme of repair and reuse.
