Rachel studied Interior Architecture and Design at Nottingham Trent University. After graduating, she worked in a variety of technical and admin roles before working as a CAD operator at C A Design Services. Rachel first became involved with Great Yarmouth Preservation Trust as a trainee on the Cemeteries Project in 2013, which led on to her working as a freelance conservator. During 2014 – 2016 she coordinated the St Margaret's Church Project, followed by the St John’s Kneeler Cushion Project in 2017. From 2018 – 2020 she coordinated both the Great Yarmouth Rows and the Lowestoft Scores projects, led by GYPT as part of the Making Waves Together Partnership.
Rachel has a keen interest in architecture, arts, crafts and design and enjoys visiting exhibitions, museums and galleries. She also enjoys history and researching about the local area and is a member of the Great Yarmouth Local History and Archaeological Society. She is involved with a local craftivism group called SayItWithStitchGY and volunteers on litter picks with the Great Yarmouth Civic Society.
